The key commitments between you and USCSE.

These terms explain how USCSE services work, what we expect from authors, speakers, applicants and institutions, and what you can expect from us — so that every engagement is transparent from the first enquiry to the final outcome.

Academic integrity

Submissions must be original, ethical and lawfully provided. Plagiarism and misconduct are not accepted.

Independent decisions

Peer review, indexing, awards and grants are decided by editors and third parties, so outcomes are never guaranteed.

Clear payments

Pay only for confirmed services through the published bank-transfer or PayPal routes, with your reference.

Always reachable

Questions about scope, fees or cancellation can be raised with our team at any stage.

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to the USCSE website (uscse.com) and your use of the services offered by the U.S. Center for Scholarly Excellence (“USCSE”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the website, submitting a form or engaging a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

01

About USCSE and our services

USCSE is an academic organisation that promotes ethical publishing, research and scholarly collaboration. Through the website we offer, among other things:

  • peer-reviewed journals, online and bulk paper submission, and journal support including journal help-board services, DOI and indexing setup;
  • ISBN book publication, chapter contributions and editor opportunities;
  • international conferences, speaker and registration routes, conference awards and travel-grant applications;
  • academic support services such as HR services, awards, MOOC support, writing assistance, plagiarism detection, API calculator and digital library;
  • research and innovation support including major and minor projects, patent support and Google Scholar citation support;
  • institutional services including membership and MOU, university and college services, conference management, book supply, NGO support, NAAC assistance, legal services and editorial boards.

The scope, timeline and fees of each service are communicated when you enquire or engage us, and may change over time.

02

Use of the website

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of it. You must not:

  • submit false, misleading or unlawfully obtained information or material;
  • upload viruses, malicious code or anything that could damage or disrupt the website;
  • attempt unauthorised access to the website, its servers, forms or stored records;
  • scrape, copy or reuse website content at scale without our written permission;
  • impersonate USCSE, its staff, editors or another person, or misuse our name and logo.
03

Submissions and author responsibilities

When you submit a paper, chapter, book proposal, abstract or any document through our forms, you confirm and agree that:

  • the work is your own, or you have the right to submit it, and it is original and not plagiarised;
  • it has not been published and is not under simultaneous review elsewhere, unless you have told us otherwise;
  • all authors are named accurately and have agreed to the submission;
  • you hold the permissions needed for any third-party text, figures, data or images included;
  • the research was conducted ethically, with required approvals and with any conflict of interest disclosed;
  • the contact details you provide are correct so that we can reach you.

You remain responsible for the content, accuracy and originality of everything you submit. USCSE may run similarity and integrity checks and may reject, return or withdraw work that does not meet its ethical standards.

04

Peer review and editorial decisions

Manuscripts are assessed by editors and reviewers under each journal’s editorial policy. Review timelines vary by journal and manuscript, and any timelines we mention are estimates only. Acceptance, revision requests and rejection are editorial decisions. Paying a fee, applying for support or engaging a service does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

05

Books, chapters and ISBN

Book and chapter publication routes, including edited-book contributions and prospective editor roles, are subject to subject fit, manuscript readiness, editorial review and agreement on the applicable terms. Where a book is published with an ISBN, the author or editor will be informed of the publication details, rights and any applicable charges before proceeding.

06

Conferences, awards and travel grants

Registration for a conference, acceptance as a speaker and applications for awards or travel grants are subject to the requirements published for that event or programme. Eligibility, selection and availability are decided by the organisers and review committees, and USCSE does not guarantee any application will be successful. Event dates, venues, formats and programmes may be changed, rescheduled or moved online where necessary, and we will communicate material changes to registered participants.

07

Academic, research and institutional support

Services such as writing assistance, plagiarism checking, project and patent support, citation and Google Scholar support, DOI and indexing setup, NAAC assistance, HR, MOOC and institutional services are provided as professional academic support. They are intended to help you prepare and present your own work ethically.

  • Indexing, DOI registration, citation counts, patent grants, accreditation results and similar outcomes depend on third parties and cannot be guaranteed by USCSE.
  • Writing and editorial assistance does not replace the author’s own scholarship. You remain responsible for the final work and for complying with your institution’s and publisher’s rules.
  • Plagiarism-check reports are indicative tools and do not by themselves determine the originality or acceptability of a work.
  • Information on our website is general guidance and is not legal, immigration or professional advice for your specific circumstances.
09

Cancellations and refunds

Whether a refund is possible depends on the specific service and the stage of work when you ask to cancel. Fees for work already carried out, such as review, editing, checking, processing, registration or third-party costs already incurred, may be non-refundable. Please contact our team in writing as early as possible, quoting your payment reference, and we will confirm in writing what, if anything, can be refunded and how long it will take.

10

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, graphics, logos, layouts and design, belongs to USCSE or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

You retain ownership of the work you submit. By submitting it, you give USCSE permission to store, review, process and, where you have agreed to publication, publish and distribute it under the terms communicated to you for that journal, book or programme. Copyright and licensing arrangements for a particular publication will be confirmed before publication.

11

Confidentiality

We treat unpublished manuscripts and submitted documents as confidential and share them only with the editors, reviewers and staff who need them to deliver the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

12

Third-party links and services

The website may link to third-party sites and services, such as journal pages, indexing services, payment providers and social platforms. These are outside our control, and USCSE is not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Use them at your own discretion and subject to their own terms.

13

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We work to keep the website and our services accurate, reliable and available, but they are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, USCSE is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for outcomes that depend on third-party decisions, or for interruptions, errors or delays beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service will not exceed the fee you paid for that service.

14

Suspension and termination

We may refuse, suspend or end access to the website or a service, and may withdraw or decline a submission, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, information provided was false, or continuing would breach academic-ethics standards or the law.

15

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the USCSE entity that provides the relevant service, unless a written agreement for a specific engagement states otherwise. We encourage you to raise any concern with our team first so that we can try to resolve it fairly and promptly.

16

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with its revision date, and your continued use of the website or services after that date means you accept the revised terms.
